The People, Plants and Places management team has recommended  that the popular tour be scheduled for alternate years. The two sponsoring organizations, the Bowen Island Historians and the Bowen Island Memorial Garden Society, have agreed, feeling that doing that would be instrumental in maintaining the high quality of the unique island event.  Tour fans can look forward to 2012 when the PPP will be a major July highlight.  Meanwhile, islanders are encouraged to suggest unusual gardens or homes of architectural interest.
